When considering getting to know and walk around the famous Aranjuez Gardens, historical population that you find at south of Madrid, I will tell you that, in reality, it is several gardens.
Two of them find next to Royal Palace of Aranjuez, the island and the Parterre, and those of greater dimensions, the Prince's Gardens, they extend along the Tagus river.
HeGarden of the Parterre de Aranjuez you find it in the entrance of the town known as Real Site, on the east side of Royal Palace.

These are gardens built in 1727 on behalf of the King Philip V. Also know as New garden, and annexed to the aforementioned Garden of the Island, has a french garden design.
This garden delimits on the north side with the Tagus river and its entrance gives the entrance road to the town from Madrid by the so-called bridge of the boats.
In the garden, its three fountains that were built throughout the 19th century stand out, already in the era of Ferdinand VI.

Fountain of Hercules and Anteo in the Garden of the Parterre of the palace of Aranjuez
The most prominent is the so-called Hercules and Anteo Fountain, the first one you'll find as you access through the main gate on the eastern side.
The other sources are those of Ceres and the Nereids.
